Christmas chore chart: earn money for gifts

Kids love buying presents with money they earned themselves. Set what each chore pays, and the chart shows what every check is worth. On payday, tap what they finished and the calculator gives you the total.

1Type their chores

Pick from common chores or write your own. Every chore gets a picture so kids who can't read yet can follow along.

2Pick a look

Sunny and Chalkboard are free. Pro adds Ocean, Space, Garden and an ink-saving black and white version.

3Print and stick it up

Print it for the fridge, or open Kid mode on a tablet or phone and let them tap chores off. Install ChoreWorth on the home screen to use it like an app.

How to use it to save for gifts

  • Start in November so there's time to save before the holidays.
  • Make a short gift list together and add up roughly what it costs. That's the savings goal.
  • Pick 4 to 6 chores and set what each one pays. Bigger jobs pay more.
  • Pay on the same day every week, and let them put the money in a jar or envelope marked "gifts".
  • Take them shopping with their own money. Handing over the cash is the best part.

Holiday chores kids can help with

  • Help decorate the tree or the house
  • Wrap presents (tape is a great job for little hands)
  • Write or draw holiday cards
  • Help bake cookies and clean up after
  • Set the table for a holiday meal
  • Tidy their room before guests arrive
